To all the Brides and Grooms who are on a journey of love, happiness, or unity. This is for you.
Over the years, we've been perfecting our style in this ever-changing industry. We love nature, we love texture, we love stories, we love candids but most importantly, we love when couples have a heavenly experience.
It's our duty to ensure that your day-of experience is as stress-free as possible without having the pressure of any kind. We enjoy sharing awesome moments with our couples and are willing to bet you would want that too. With that said, we love for things to be - simple but grand, planned but candid, and serious but cheerful.
Our clients rave about our work not because of our style of shooting, but simply of how we interact with our clients. You get an energized boost when you're with us and that's something that cannot be taught or duplicated. We are about positivity because if there's one thing we know when you feel your best, you look your best. Would you agree?
Let's begin. Our shooting style varies from cinema style all the way to documentary. Cinema style is more stylized but in a "you and your significant other" type of way. The more we get to know you, the more natural you look and feel on camera. A documentary-style look is when we capture things the way they are- nothing forced, nor staged - just letting things be. Because we know every love story is unique, we want to capture the natural things. Whether it be the sudden comedic bursts from your future husband or the sweet innocent giggles future-your wife. We make sure we know you better enough to get those details.
Colors
No matter the choice of color palette you decide on, we ensure that it pops on camera in both digital video and photo. During the editing phase, we lock onto the specific colors using advanced tools in our editing software to precisely reveal the true vibrancy thus creating an aurora of simplistic and eye-appealing attraction.
As We Shoot
We do our best to find the best angles, exposure, composition, lighting, colors, and background. This means while we talk towards our shooting location, our brains are firing at a rapid rate seeking all those little details that will make your images printable to display in your home. Sometimes it might take a minute for us to process and make an absolute decision but once our minds are set then your stage is for the taking.
Candid Moments
There is never a perfect stage where photographers are "perfect". It comes with time and practice. However, in our experience, anticipation is key when pressing the shutter button. And just like a stealthy lion in the wild, we find our moments subtly and precisely. We just don't shoot during your wedding day or engagement session, we look for the story.
In the last few years, we began to notice that individuals who are shy in front of a camera tend to be stiff. We found a simple exercise that we give to our clients and their guests. For example, in the getting ready part of your day, we line up your bridal party along with either the bride or groom and have them each say one memory, experience, or nice thing they want to say to that person. Typically when the brother of the groom turns up next, they always end up roasting their brother- yes even on his wedding day. For the majority of the bride, her party typically says well wishes or good things about the bride which always ends up in tears.
Staging
Over the years, the wedding industry has morphed and fused with the fashion industry. Nowadays, wedding photography and videos have stylized poses that can be traced back to fashion or modeling. This is the new norm and we absolutely love it. Does this mean we force our couples to pose perfectly? No. We welcome the idea and if all are on board, it's just another fun exercise for an engagement shoot or the actual big day.
For items that need photographing, we recommend that (mainly brides) set out their dresses, rings, save-the-date cards, invitations, or any other jewelry for us to photograph so that we can focus most of our time on you and your wedding party.
